Wearing a black outfit with pops of color is my absolute favorite and most timeless style of dress to wear.
I wouldn't call it a trend per say since it's been around so long.
If your trying to work in some new looks in your wardrobe this is what is timeless. If your really safe with your style of dress, all black and pearls sounds familiar right? Yes. Sounds like Chanel to me. Take it further by adding loud colors.
