The overall theme of the Bergdorf season is called the "Carnival of Animals". The other windows are have “The Brass Menagerie,” “Testing the Waters” and “Breaking the Ice" as a sub theme.
"What is Christmas made of?" is the theme Lord and Taylor's holiday season window displays based from. They got children from local schools and women's shelters to draw what came to mind when they were asked "What is Christmas made of?"
