Product Review: Andis T-Outliner Trimmer

I've been cutting/trimming my own hair ever since I was a young boy in middle school. My brand of choice when it comes to tools are Andis products. I use Andis trimmers and clippers because they are the most recognized by professional barbers and have the highest quality standards.

So I was in the market for a new trimmer blade, but the model [above] I had was old and isn't made anymore [if it is, I sure as heck couldn't find it]. So since I had an old model and no where could I find a replacement blade, I decided to just go ahead and upgrade to a new model. The well known Andis T-Outliner [$45-65] which is the best you could buy in the Andis line. 

Review:

The trimmers are phenomenal and a great investment for any man not just African American. The blade comes super sharp and should last that way if they kept super lubricated and cleaned afar each use. I use them for dry shaving and cleaning up my edges. I have to use them everyday since my hair grows back super fast. 

The price is a little  steep for a pair of trimmers, but they will pay for themselves after about 3 months. If you go to the barbershop every other week like I used to back in the day, you will know what I mean.

Product Review: Bump Patrol

So here is a product review just for the guys who go through the same problems I have: Razor Bumps. I have coily, thick hair and always get nasty razor bumps. Here is my solution:

Bump Patrol [about $10]

This gel is an amazing product for black men like me. I have to shave all the time [once or even twice daily] and while doing so I get razor bumps all over my neck and and lower face that are painful and hard to get rid of.

In the past I either had to wait for them to go away on their own or try not shave. Both options were not possible for me. 

This has been the only product that I have found that takes care of this problem. All you have to do is apply the gel after a shave and the bumps will be gone in about 2 days. 

The only thing that people complain about is the smell. It is not that bad. Just to be safe, DO NOT apply this product if your going out or going to be around other people. Do the application at night before going to bed. Other than that you will thoroughly enjoy this!

Product Review: Tinted Brow Gel

If you have never heard of it, it is a great necessity for every make-up bag! [for both men and women]. What is it you ask? It looks like a mascara, but it is meant specifically for your sparse and wild brows. It helps keep them 'kept' during the day as well as add some color to them. Everyone's brows need to color to keep the looking full and defined. I like it especially because it is natural in appearance and no one can tell your wearing it. 

I was introduced to it when I went to Ulta for the first time. I told the associate my problems I was having with trying to fill in my brows and keep them looking like I wasn't wearing anything on my face. 

I was not even going to put a 'before' picture up here because that will scare people and give them nightmares. So I just wanted to say that my brows are nobody's cute at ALL LOl. Just trust me and know that this can help you if suffer the problems that I have. Brow gel is very cheap and you can get it just about anywhere and in many shades.
