News: Chris Martin and Fair trade

Chris Martin from the British band, Coldplay is an awesome musician that I enjoy listening to. I was observing him in concert one day and noticed the drawn black stripes on his hand. I did some research to find out exactly what it meant and this was what I found:

"Coldplay supports Oxfam's fair trade campaign, which lobbies against trade policies that hurt developing countries, such as the influx of goods from developed countries."

"We don't want to be preachy, we just say those words — fair trade — and make sure people look it up themselves," Martin said at a news conference ahead of a concert.

...I also need to find out what those pieces of tape on his fingers mean.

I'm pretty sure he uses a black texta and draws those dots.squares on there before each concert.

It's a free trade symbol.

I believe anonymous is right - he draws it on his hand before every concert.

He walked out of a BBC interview recently because he wasn't "having much fun." I'm worried he is entering misunderstood artist territory...
