Androgynous: Male + Female Andrej Pejic

Gorgeous male, sometimes female model Andrej Pejic as of September 2001 was ranked number 8 on models.com Top 50 Male Model list. 

The Croatian and Serbian boy is sought after in the industry for both male and female runway shows by designers like Jean Paul-Gaultier and Marc Jacobs. 

Pejic doesn't like to be compared to Lea T who is right now being praised in the modeling industry for her openess of being a male to female transgeneder. Pejic just wants to be a versatile model who can work as a male or female.

Interview: Model Joelle Ford

How old are you?
I am 19 years old.

Why do you like to model?
I like to model because for me it's like one of those things that many people don't think that they can do because of the way the look or walk or any number of things but for me it's like I have all these insecurities but I still want to go for it anyway to prove to not only those around me that I can do it but also to myself.

Do people often get you confused for a biological female when looking at your work? 
I hear it every time I get dressed up. I often go out to places that are not of a homosexual atmosphere and no one can ever tell that I'm not real.

What do you have to say for ignorance that you may have experienced?
I can't really say that I have had to deal with ignorance because whenever I dress up no one can tell the difference so it's like my own little secret. I have seen others that are not as "real" me who get treated badly by ignorant people. People are always going to have their own idea of how people should be or what is and is not normal or ok so it's like you have to deal with people when you are in this industry. I may not have heard it yet but I'm sure there will come a day.

Do you prefer modeling as Joelle? 
Yes I do prefer modelling as Joelle oppose to Joey because it's more feminine.

What/who made you model as Joelle?
I came up with Joelle on my own. For sometime when I first started out modelling I didn't change my name but after being in it for awhile Joelle just kinda popped up in my head and I ran with it.

What would you like to be doing for the future with your passion? Any steps you plan to take?
Well as of now I am just focused on building my portfolio and getting myself out there and just staying busy. But for the future I would like to be a professional Male Female Illusionist. I am even considering trying out for America's Next Top Model in July of 2012 but I am still unsure..I just plan to keep on getting out there with the fashion shows photo shoots whatever I can book I plan to do it to get me to where I want to be which is a professional Male Female Illusionist.

Androgynous: Parisian Male Full Cut Trousers

The full cut trouser is something I have always wanted to try. I have a feeling they won't look good on me. They make a men's version of a full cut trouser that is tailored for our waist's. Those would be my alternative to boot-cut any day. 

The pants look like leggings and the hair cut reminds me of a older Rihanna look. I would love to see the outfit in color.

Note: To differ from "androgynous" over cross dresser-- you must embody and entire looks. It's a matter of an overall appearance that must be taken into consideration before you decide to walk out the house in a pair of pumps.

First of all this a man. I support men who are androgynous but this pink curls with the matching pink eyebrows are such a hot mess. Someone told him that this was cute too.

Trend: Stuffed High Shoulder Pads

Celebrities have been pulling pieces from Couture lines a little more so lately. I'm stating this based on my girls Rihanna and Lady Gaga. Yes I know they are celebrities, but they are bringing the crazy and high-end designers more to the public eye not just their performances and photo-shoots, but to the streets.

The high shoulder pads are a new trend that I have been seeing both of them rock for a few weeks now. I didn't think it would keep going, but I have confirmation now. I personally love the look. It reminds me of the great Grace Jones. Yes, even a basic leveled shoulder-pad can be flattering on a statured women.

 It's almost slightly androgynous when women wear them. Grace was already the Queen/King of Androgyny and that was back in the early 80's. The average woman on the other hand will not spend thousand of dollars on shoulders like these!

Trend: Camail Jewelry

So I stumbled across the idea for this post from watching one of my favorite media personalities on YouTube; B. Scott. Pictured here is a camail head piece.

"Mail" or maile is literally an armour. It was used back in the 4th century BC in the Rome in battle. It was worn on different parts of the body to protect blows from sword fighting.

Here are different types of mail pieces:

Shirt - hauberk

Knee-length Garment- haubergeon

Waist-length Garment - byrnie

Leggings - chausses

Hoods - coif

Collar - pixane

This head piece is hot but it can only be worn at costume parties, themed night-clubs or sex shows. At the same time I can definitely see this worn at a couture fashion show. Here is a site that I found them on sale.

Androgynous: The Prince

His self-confidence expressed through the way he dresses is amazing. A genuine risk taker and rule breaker. He gives me androgynous every time I see him photographed. I personally don't want to dress JUST like him, I'm just giving him props and telling you that you could take a few notes.

When people get older they develop signature looks. Prince's look consists of manheels, full cut trousers, and blazers. I love it. [He is lucky he has small feet, because heels over size 10 are so fucking hard to find].

Kids, don't be scared to take risks. Who cares what a hater thinks? Do you.

Tattoo: Preston Crenshaw

If you know me by now, you know I LOVE star tattoo's; I have too stars as of now. I am definitely getting more in the future. I love Preston's because they are grouped and clustered. Right now I only have two, one on my wrist and the other on my shoulder. Grouped and clustered stars are very hot and anyone can rock them.

My only problem with getting the star's like he has on his hand is that it may be difficult for me to be taken seriously if I'm at a meeting or looking for a professional job. I wish tattoo's could be acceptable by all.
