Recent Purchase: Louis Vuitton Speedy 40

So today I got my first Louis Vuitton Speedy 40 bag [$825]. No, it wasn't my birthday I just finally had the extra cash needed to finally fork over.

Being a smart cookie, I called ahead to have them hold the bag I wanted, Speedy 40 Monogram, before I even went to the store. I found out from one of the sales associates that the Speedy 40 is very popular and is always sold out. 

I demanded for it to be put in a box. How else was I supposed to carry it home? Not in my hands of course.

I was also informed that the Hot Stamping service that I've always been wanting as well is complementary.

Inspiration: NYFW Outfits Moodboard

So I'm finally in NYC if you all don't know by now. This will be the FIRST time I'll be attending NYFW festivities and shows in the city so you must all understand how I'm feeling right now.

With that said, I NEED to look my best walking around the city all that week starting the 9th.

I took to the internet, as I always do to get some inspiration for cool NOT EXPENSIVE outfits that would stand out because I know everyone with money will be in designer everything.

How Many of These Collar's Can You ID?

How many of you actually knew there was this many different types of collar's to choose from? Personally I hate the button down collars, they are hard to keep crisp for me. 

I would love to try out a "cut away" in the future, but since I don't buy nice oxfords, this may not happen anytime soon.

Why You Should Stay Home Black Friday

Here is one of the reason's why you shouldn't be out fighting in the crowds early in the morning at Wal-Mart and work off the turkey fat. 

Twenty people, including children, were injured when a woman at a San Fernando Valley Walmart store used mace against other customers in what authorities referred to as a "competitive shopping" incident.

In Kissimmee, Fla., two men fought at a jewelry counter at a Walmart, and one of them had to be dragged away by the police, according to the Orlando Sentinel. 

Events like these and others for some reason are not keeping people from the "deals", if you continuing shopping today, just be safe and stay away from angry men and women with pepper spray.

I'd personally recommend taking advantage to Cyber Monday instead of this mess. It's safer and you can shop at your discretion and not on a time frame at a brick-and-mortar store.

 So I finally got a black leather bag like I've been meaning to get ever since I sold my Louis Vuitton Speedy. This bag is Fred Perry and my friend got it for me while he was in New York not too long ago.

I love carrying bags so I need to have a great collection. This is just going to be one of many as I continue to find good sturdy everyday bags.

Product Review: Andis T-Outliner Trimmer

I've been cutting/trimming my own hair ever since I was a young boy in middle school. My brand of choice when it comes to tools are Andis products. I use Andis trimmers and clippers because they are the most recognized by professional barbers and have the highest quality standards.

So I was in the market for a new trimmer blade, but the model [above] I had was old and isn't made anymore [if it is, I sure as heck couldn't find it]. So since I had an old model and no where could I find a replacement blade, I decided to just go ahead and upgrade to a new model. The well known Andis T-Outliner [$45-65] which is the best you could buy in the Andis line. 

Review:

The trimmers are phenomenal and a great investment for any man not just African American. The blade comes super sharp and should last that way if they kept super lubricated and cleaned afar each use. I use them for dry shaving and cleaning up my edges. I have to use them everyday since my hair grows back super fast. 

The price is a little  steep for a pair of trimmers, but they will pay for themselves after about 3 months. If you go to the barbershop every other week like I used to back in the day, you will know what I mean.

Recent Purchase: Forever 21 Winter Haul

It finally arrived days ahead of time!

Only $9 beat that Brooks Brothers!

I'm not sure about this sweater. The color looked green online but once I got it it came out to be dark grey. 

I finally now have a cardigan that fits me. 

I will always love Forever 21 for their prices and variety of styles available to men. I will not shop them as my primary source. But if yo u need certain hard to find pieces, this is where I would look first. 

Nordstrom Opens Test Market Store in NYC

Nordstrom is finally opening it's first full-priced store in SoHo NYC, kind of. The thing is the store won't bear the company name or layout. They are actually opening a pseudo-Nordstrom to gauge the New York retail market.

The 'fake' Nordstrom is called Treasure & Bond, a name not associated with the department store brand. Another thing not associated with the brand is even the merchandise they are selling; it is "funkier than a real Nordstrom would carry.

Currently the only affiliated Nordstrom in the city is a 'Discount Rack' store. So pretty soon a full-priced location will be open after data is gathered from Treasure & Bond. This pop-up store is not unusual for brands to do, but what makes T&B will be different because it will become a permanent brand. From the sales that T&B generates will determine whether merchandise can/should be sold in Nordstrom.

My Blazer Fetish

So I still can't find a decent blazer like the ones above in my area at my price point. All the local stores sale the basic designs when it comes to blazers. I have the option of ordering one of online, but there is always the risk of it not fitting perfectly. 

The blazers above run in the hundreds and I'm not willing to pay over $100 for a decent one.

So in the mean time, I'm just window shopping until someone let's me know where I can get a fun looking blazer in Charlotte, NC.

Early Birthday gift I got from my boyfriend! Anything from Louis Vuitton always makes a great gift. 

I had lost my old Coach wallet on my way back home from NYC so it's time for a replacement.

I love everything about the Insolite; it has plenty of pockets and card slots. This is a good wallet for me because I like to store little papers, receipts and notes so it doubles well for a great organizer.

Recent Purchase: Yingst Sandals Aldo

**Ignore my toes, they aren't 'done' yet. 

I've been looking for a nice pair of gladiator sandals for the longest time; ever since last year to be exact. I finally found the pair above that caught my eye. Unlike a girls pair of gladiator sandals, you don't have as much foot shown. I feel like I'm not completely exposing my feet to the world. 

Yes, these are a men's pair of shoes just in case anyone was wondering. In fact, when I first saw the shoes online, they looked just like a regular leather boot with linear cut-outs on the side. That's what give the shoe it's masculine feel. 

The shoes in my opinion are super comfortable and as with any leather shoe, they should break-in the more I wear them.
