News: Cindy Crawford's Daughter Breaks into Modeling

 Cindy Crawford's 10-year-old daughter, Kaia Gerber, is following in famous supermodel mom's modeling footsteps. Kaia is the first face of  brand new line "Young Versace" launching this season.

Crawford says that, "She's definitely tall, but hopefully I can keep her away from it for a little while."

Androgynous: Male + Female Andrej Pejic

Gorgeous male, sometimes female model Andrej Pejic as of September 2001 was ranked number 8 on models.com Top 50 Male Model list. 

The Croatian and Serbian boy is sought after in the industry for both male and female runway shows by designers like Jean Paul-Gaultier and Marc Jacobs. 

Pejic doesn't like to be compared to Lea T who is right now being praised in the modeling industry for her openess of being a male to female transgeneder. Pejic just wants to be a versatile model who can work as a male or female.

Interview: Model Joelle Ford

How old are you?
I am 19 years old.

Why do you like to model?
I like to model because for me it's like one of those things that many people don't think that they can do because of the way the look or walk or any number of things but for me it's like I have all these insecurities but I still want to go for it anyway to prove to not only those around me that I can do it but also to myself.

Do people often get you confused for a biological female when looking at your work? 
I hear it every time I get dressed up. I often go out to places that are not of a homosexual atmosphere and no one can ever tell that I'm not real.

What do you have to say for ignorance that you may have experienced?
I can't really say that I have had to deal with ignorance because whenever I dress up no one can tell the difference so it's like my own little secret. I have seen others that are not as "real" me who get treated badly by ignorant people. People are always going to have their own idea of how people should be or what is and is not normal or ok so it's like you have to deal with people when you are in this industry. I may not have heard it yet but I'm sure there will come a day.

Do you prefer modeling as Joelle? 
Yes I do prefer modelling as Joelle oppose to Joey because it's more feminine.

What/who made you model as Joelle?
I came up with Joelle on my own. For sometime when I first started out modelling I didn't change my name but after being in it for awhile Joelle just kinda popped up in my head and I ran with it.

What would you like to be doing for the future with your passion? Any steps you plan to take?
Well as of now I am just focused on building my portfolio and getting myself out there and just staying busy. But for the future I would like to be a professional Male Female Illusionist. I am even considering trying out for America's Next Top Model in July of 2012 but I am still unsure..I just plan to keep on getting out there with the fashion shows photo shoots whatever I can book I plan to do it to get me to where I want to be which is a professional Male Female Illusionist.

New face model, Jae Yoo is credited with being the first Asian model for the fashion house Calvin Klein. He walked this past Fall 2011 show, see above. Welcome him to the industry by admiring his abs and face. Vain.

So here is the foot of Sojourner Morrell at the end of fashion week in Paris. This particular shot is from the Spring/Summer Louis Vuitton show. 

Morrell has walked in about 14 shows this season along with countless castings and fittings. This is just one image of how other models in the industry fight to book shows.

If you are familiar with the reality TV show "The A-List" on LOGO then you know all about Rodiney Santiago and his modeling career. I have never seen any of his work in print or around the internet until now.  This shoot was by photographer Richard Gest.

He has an amazing face and body that I'm surprised he is not booked for big name designers.

How To Survive The Fashion Industry With Iman

Iman stopped modeling 22 years ago but she is still is in the public eye; her own makeup collection, host of "Project Runway Canada" and host of "The Fashion Show". She is still sought after for modeling advice and her fashion expertise.  

But how does she stay sane in the fashion world this long? Iman tells NYTimes.com that she hasn't attended a single fashion show since 1989.  She knows when it's time to be seen and when not to."I know fashion people. The reason I lasted this long is because I'm not around them all the time!" This is a great tip from a legend because the industry will eat you alive.

Model: 10-Year-Old Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau

Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau is now a fashion model who was on born in 2001 which makes her 10-years-old. Blondeau for such a young age has already booked some of the top designers and fashion houses. 

This young girl is being sought after in the industry because of her stunning fresh face. Yes, this is a little weird because she is only 10 and no where near legal. This almost gives credibility to those little girl pageants.

What does not seem to sit well with me is the photos that are too mature for her age. The photo of her reclined in a bed with a seductive facial expression and a pound of makeup does not send the right message to anyone. Where were the parents at during this shoot?

Atlanta’s Fashion Week [AIFW] is not far ahead of us. This year was the third year in existence. They hold there events Jul 22nd-26th, mark your calendars to follow the shows next year.

News: Rihanna Covers Italian Vogue Mag

Rihanna pictured on the cover of Italian Vogue. This was speculated why her hair was shaved on the sides. So maybe she she shouldn’t take all the credit for her look.

She by Sheree was introduced to the world for the first time at her fashion show. Here are some pieces from it. I keep hearing from bloggers that she has no real style and the clothes are not worth buying. “She By Sheree just tells me that Sheree likes clothes. She may have excellent personal style, but does that translate into good design? Not really.” It’s kind of harsh to say, but maybe she is better off being a personal stylist?

41. top model season finale!

Sorry this post is so untimely. It's just that all my posts are already set scheduled ahead of time. This was pushed way down the line LOL. Better late than never right??

I am glad that Teyona won! That big-eyed bitch Allison ugh. I am so mad that she made it to the final too. She is so ugly. But I honestly thought that Aminat was gonna be the winner just because she did kinda better on her shoots and had a greater and bigger personality.

Even though "Top Models" in the past never get famous like I hope for. The show was good this past season. Cycle 13 will be interesting to see now that all the models will be 5'7" and shorter. Oh gawd. Top Model is falling off. But we will see what happens.

TV: Make Me a Supermodel

The new season of Make Me a Supermodel premieres March 4th at 10PM on Bravo. I'm so excited for the new season. I'm so ready to check out the new talent! There are 8 men and 8 women. So yes guys, you have an excuse to watch lOl.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch much of anything from last season; my schedule didn't allow it. I'm going to try to follow as much as possible this time around. What's really cool that I found out was that there is a contestant from Charlotte on the show! That doesn't happen very often lOl. His name is Gabriel by the way and you can read more about him here.
