[dressed] clothing line_Pa:nuu

Danish designers Cathrine Nielsen and Jacob Hoilund have been recently featured in Metro.pop magazine issue #34. They caught my eye literally because there clothes are so "boldy geometric, Crayola -colored...sorbet-hued camisoles and acid bright baggy pants."--Metro.pop magazine.

A Pa:nuu retail store is going to be coming soon the designers state, but no word as if one will be in the states. As of now, they currently sale at Top Shop in the UK and Atrium in NYC. Unfortunately the whole collection is not online for purchase yet...ugh.

Runway Looks : D&G Spring/Summer 2008

I love Domenico Dolce and Steffano Gabannas Spring (D&G) 2008 line MUCH better than the 2009 one. This years pieces are more funkier. The main colors used are tan, gold, black and white. There are lots of tight pants and sandals--I'm not a big fan of those though.

I don't follow runway shows for trends because they don't always pick up with the rest of the world, but I have seen the trademark sneakers worn by lots of celebrities and in magazines. I actually want a pair myself!

Vintage Lacoste Belt

I was shopping at the Goodwill the other day and stumbled upon these two cool vintage Lacoste belts. I was so surprised that they were only going for $2 a piece lol. The bad thing about it that they don't fit me! They are too small for my waist.

If anyone wants em hit me up =]
Sound Off.

cotoure is not for the street!

Van Beirendonck's "collections tend to shock and amuse." His previous collection was called Sexclown!?!
PLEASE NOTE...Coutoure fashion is not meant to be worn on the street!! Just admire it as art.
Keep it [dressed].

News: Chris Martin and Fair trade

Chris Martin from the British band, Coldplay is an awesome musician that I enjoy listening to. I was observing him in concert one day and noticed the drawn black stripes on his hand. I did some research to find out exactly what it meant and this was what I found:

"Coldplay supports Oxfam's fair trade campaign, which lobbies against trade policies that hurt developing countries, such as the influx of goods from developed countries."

"We don't want to be preachy, we just say those words — fair trade — and make sure people look it up themselves," Martin said at a news conference ahead of a concert.

...I also need to find out what those pieces of tape on his fingers mean.

trend alert_cuffed

post originally by: MaleUgly. San Franciso, CA
If you haven't been cuffing your pants, now is certainly the time to start. A.P.C., Flippa K, Won Hundred, even fashion giant H&M (just to name a few) have proven that shortening your pant legs by folding them up a couple inches is fashionably desirable. We can all freshen up old pieces--shorts, chinos, denim--by taking our hemlines to new heights!

In the past, high-waters, clam-diggers and tapered cuffs were seen as nerdy and even fashion don't; now trend continues to reinvent itself past rolled up sleeves, making this slightly disheveled finish to any outfit seem tempting to try. And why not? IT'S SO EASY!

Now, there's a right way and wrong way to do this:

Do cuff right above your ankle; Don't over-cuff by folding too high (up to 2 inches is sufficient!) or too many times over--if it's fat and heavy, it'll weigh you down proportionally and make you look stumpy!

So, ladies and gents, bring out those jeans and trousers you were lazy to get hemmed, and create new outfits just in time for summer!

Cuff-meister,
Phillip

trend alert_bandanas

Wearing bandanas on the neck--a recent trend in NY, made popular by rappers to rockers. ie Kanye West to The Jonas Brothers. Originally worn by the cowboys to keep from breathing in dust, this look has been modernized and can be worn by anyone.

How to wear it you ask? Take any bandana of your liking, fold in half to form an issoceles triangle. Take the two long ends and tie around the neck. You can make it as loose or tight as you want. This look is best with polos, hoodies, and t-shirts. This style can also be worn in the summer as well as the fall. Just make sure you do not layer that many articles of clothing.

a passion for personal style

I believe that all men should know how to dress. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to getting dressed, but there are rules that men need to follow to achieve the perfect outfit.

Here are my top three rules for getting dressed:
1. Make sure your clothes fit. There is nothing more annoying than seeing guys with baggy shirts, shorts etc. You need to make yourself presentable in public.
2. Do not follow trends. It may be tempting to try and wear skinny jeans, but if you know your body type does not allow for this, than please refrain form the utter embarrassment!
3. Always be true to yourself. Don't try to be something that your not. Make sure you are comfortable in your clothes and that YOU are happy.
